Only after offline output is useful, access has been reviewed and failed transactions can be recovered. Begin with a staging table or export that a user approves.
Define field ownership: the estimator approves quantities, purchasing owns supplier offers, finance controls rates and margin exceptions, and the destination system owns its record identifiers. Avoid two systems both treating themselves as authoritative for the same field.
Test a timeout, a duplicate retry, an expired credential and an update to a superseded estimate. A retry must not create another quote or overwrite a newer approved price. Record a transaction ID, source version, destination ID, approver and result. Reconcile failures in a visible queue.
Exit evidence: sandbox test record, rollback procedure, access matrix and reconciliation owner.
