Use equipment-schedule extraction as the default example. Its deliverable is a reviewable register and exceptions list, not an approved equipment selection, a full drawing takeoff or an automatically submitted bid.
Write a one-page charter:
| Charter field | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Buyer problem | Repeated entry from a defined schedule family |
| Inputs | Authorised PDFs, declared revisions and agreed fields |
| Output | Register with raw values, units, source locations and review states |
| Exclusions | Drawing geometry, engineering approval, automatic substitution and live pricing changes |
| Owner | Estimating lead with an agreed weekly time allocation |
| Baseline | Current manual preparation and review effort on comparable work |
| Release gate | Buyer-approved quality, effort, access and recovery criteria |
| Stop condition | Critical scope failure, unresolved data permission or an unaffordable maintenance burden |
For an addendum pilot, replace the output with a change register that links both versions. For price transfer, use an approved supplier-offer schema and keep uncertain matches out of write-back.
